I just realised why i hate AA on big blind, just been playing a laddies $3000 prizepool crapshoot (and crapshoot it was).I was sat with AA on the big blind,1st position goes all in so i think wow he must have a nice hand but i gotta call even though you must remember AA is only a pair right,so all other players fold around to me i call he shows 8/6 os unreal yes a 8 and 6 come down now what is that all about? Yes,they are scary in BB...but this idiot playing next to you was totally mad to play his hand as he did..Just trying to steal the blind by the looks of things and it worked but only by LUCK..
But,as you say,you had to call.

I would call everytime, but i must admit, would probably cause a lump in the back of my pants, mind, that might put them off trying that again.  Wink
Its a horrible situation, but you are supposed to be a big fav, so a call has got to be right.

Just flicking through the posts and saw this one (Hi RD, TC and all) and have to say that the day I fold AA is the day I quit poker however; that was until someone posted this little beauty...

On another forum someone asked what would I do if I was on an STT and last to act with AA on the very first hand. 7 players go all in before you (9 handed).

I seriously considered this and felt that although it is unlikely to happen I may well consider folding for two reasons. (1) AA is not a strong hand against 7 callers and (2) I play poker for profit and folding would probably ensure that I make the cash in one hit and still be in with a chance to improve on that.

Anyone agree/disagree?

My bro told me a story he read about a game at the stardust, were someone was holding AA n there was a raise, a re raise, n a allin before him, so he folded his AA with ease  Shocked  worked out if he had called his AA would have been last of all 4  Roll Eyes

So think i have to agree  Cool

AA becomes weaker with every call; if I'm pushing with them I like one or two players max in the pot. More than that and I'm playing them like 22!  Grin
